I saw The Beastie Boys supporting Run DMC there. That was some night . Missed the beginning of BB set due to crowd trouble. Scary night but probably the coolest concert anyone on here has been to.

Quite obviously not Joe you retard. Nobody was thrown down stairs regardless of how you try to spin it. An officer pushed a woman who was standing above 2 steps. Hardly a fucking spiral staircase is it

I was outside the Boleyn pub last game at Upton Park, right next to the Man U coach, with bottles flying over my head, and I assure you that Green Street was like a packed terrace, and somehow the mancs’ coach got through it. There simply must have been a horrific crush to do that.
Personally, I sympathise with plod on that day, as they had been put in a very difficult position because of Man U turning up so late, even though they were told to come early to avoid that very situation. I blame the arrogant Man U cunts more than the old bill, who had been as good as gold with us partying in the streets up until that episode.

I don't remember anything like that happening at the last game at Upton Park. Surprised it wasn't filmed or reported.

Yea, the bird getting launched down the stairs was a bit over the top but so was the bird belting the copper across the chops. This isnt a racial issue, plenty on here piled into the coked up cunts trying to get into Wembley for the last Euro's final.
Policing at football has always been diabolical which is something most of us witnessed for years and were powerless to do anything about. Compared to plod legging it down the road AWAY from protesters or offering them tea and water while they block some of the countries busiest road, the policing looked pretty low key at Brixton. Taking of protests, Iv'e thought for ages that if a bunch of footall fans blocked main roads in protest over season ticket prices, the old bill wouldnt hestiate to grag, kick and charge them out of the way. But if you want to cause unrest over a bloke getting killed 4000 miles away, plod wont just look the other way, they'll run.
I'm at Brixton in April for a sold out gig, maybe I'll see scenes similar to the other night but i doubt it.

I've got to say the footage of that police officer throwing a woman down the concrete entrance stairs was a bit much however many people tried to jib in.
I'm kind of surprised most of you who have been going to football for years are so pro police. Whenever I've been caught up in a surge the old bill have actually made it worse.
The last one I was caught in was at the last game at Upton Park near the West stand as the already late and battered ManU coach was trying to get into the car park.
Mobbed Green St, everyone having a sing up and a laugh when the police start pushing everyone back for the coach. The problem was that there was absolutely nowhere to push them back to.
Nobody could move and as I had my hands by my side the crowd crushed me and literally lifted my feet off the ground, my arms were trapped and I couldn't do a thing about it.
Women and kids started screaming and I got propelled into a garden wall and couldn't breathe or move. It was fucking scary because there was literally fuck all I could do about it but despite the screaming women and kids and a bunch of West Ham shouting at the police to stop they couldn't give a fuck and kept pushing us back with their batons out.
As I was squashed I detected a tiny, tiny bit of leverage as the crowd turned slightly and I hoofed my way up and just about got a foot up the garden wall where a supporter (God bless him) grabbed me before I could fall backwards and pulled me over into the already mobbed garden.
I stopped for a few seconds to catch my breath then did what everyone else on the walls were doing, trying to pull screaming kids, older supporters and everyone else getting crushed up and over into the gardens on Green St.
I'm still amazed nobody died. Total fuck up by the police but if they had done all the headlines would have said what many of you are saying about The Academy crush, just replace black kids with West Ham supporters.
'Ah fuck 'em, just a bunch of West Ham supporters without tickets trying to get in for free'.

There will be a clear and undeniable link between this, Hillsborough, and the jollies at the England game - a link the authorities will have told the media to avoid making under pain of never being allowed to a government briefing ever again.

Just watching the news. Very sad for the woman who lost her life. RIP.
Could have had similar at the Euro's final at Wembley with the 2000 mob with no tickets trying to storm the gates. Reports of supporters fuelled up on drink and drugs. Maybe the restrictions on alcohol have been a good thing, given we haven't witness the usual smashing up pubs etc
